BABY BLANKET / DRAWSTRING TOTE
Learn the very most beginning simple basics of pinning, measuring, pressing and stitching a straight line while making a wonderful Baby's Receiving Blanket suitable for gifting or for personal use. After some practice on the baby blanket, it's time to stitch the Drawstring Tote. Most beginners are a little wobbly at first, just like they are when learning to ride a bicycle. If the stitching on the Tote is wobbly, it will have to be ripped out and done again because the cords won't fit through the casings. So, we wait to make the Tote until after we've had some practice with the Baby Blanket. Then, no ripping! Sewing Students LOVE to take their Blankets and Totes with them on field trips and traveling. V-TOP / SKIRT WITH BACK BOW
The V-top has a V-shaped neckline front and back, and extended dolman sleeves. The Skirt has elastic waistline and back slit with bow accent.

What a super-simple way to make your very first clothing project! All the seams are straight, the notches you need to match are big and easy to find. Now that you've gotten really good at hemming from Level One, you can start making your hems narrow and more straightly stitched. It's up to you to guide your work accurately for the very best garment you can make. You don't need to work hard, you only need to pay attention and sew carefully. Help the fabric flow through your sewing machine and you'll get the hang of it quickly. Skill group 2 - Lesson 1

T-TOP / PULL-ON PANTS
The T-top has a square neckline front and back with topstitching and extended cap sleeves. The Pants have elastic waistline and a generous cut through the hips and inseam.

You will find your first lesson in sewing curved seams to be a pleasure. We've designed all the curves to be very gently so they are easier to sew around. In the next lesson, the Shorts, they will be a little more curvy so this is good practice for you. The simple topstitching exercise for the T-Top prepares you for understitching in Level Four and Jeans in Level Six. Practice now with easy projects so that you will be really good at it later! Skill group 2 - Lesson 2

R-TOP / PULL-ON SHORTS
The R-top has a square neckline front and back, and raglan sleeves. The Shorts have an elastic waistline and a trimmer cut through the hips and inseam than the pants in #22. The curved seams are a little sharper and more difficult than those in Level 2 Lesson 2. Skill group 2 - Lesson 3
